As you travel from the port of Katakolon, the Greek countryside will take you to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Along the way, you will be provided with all the exciting historical and cultural background of the area by our expert tourist guide. Upon arrival in Ancient Olympia, we will assist you to buy the tickets so as not to wait in the queue and make most of your valuable time there. Visit the Archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, discover the land where the Olympic torch is lit and the original Olympic stadium. Explore its exquisite nearby museums; the main Archaeological Museum where the excavations from the site are exhibited, the Museum of the History of the Ancient Olympic Games and the Archimedes' Museum.

Spend some time in the modern village of Olympia. Unwind at one of the cafés or tavernas. Whatever your preference, this beautiful village is sure to reward you. 

Before heading back, stop off at the local Association of Agriculture. There you will have the opportunity to experience a free wine and olive oil tasting from the famous Greek olives and blends of olive oil to the superb local wines.

Each tour operates to sufficient demand. The Travel Insiders reserves the right to cancel scheduled tours due to limited participation (minimum 8 participants), or other reasons beyond our control two (2) weeks before the date of the tour.
In any of the above cases, you will be notified via email. Alternatively, a private tour at a special price will be available, or if you prefer, you will be fully refunded.
Once the group reaches the minimum number of participants (8 participants) you will receive an email notification two (2) weeks prior to tour confirming that the itinerary of your choice will be conducted as planned.
