Mykonos is one of the most, if not the most, famous Cycladic Island of the Aegean Sea.

Lying in the heart of the Aegean, yet very close to Athens, Mykonos offers a variety of activities aimed to satisfy your heart's every desire. The most vibrant part of the island is the Chora. Stroll through the winding alleys, shopping at the world renowned boutiques and taking pictures of the picturesque of the blue and white vaulted houses and churches.

The highlight of the island is NOT only the island itself; next to Mykonos stands the islet of Delos! This is a MUST DO - take a boat, avoiding the crowds, and visit the birthplace of God Apollo, the God of light! You will be able to visit the brightest spot in all the Mediterranean, literally! After all, this is why the complex of the Cycladic Islands is called so, since it forms a circle around Delos.

Along with your guide explore one of the most fascinating ancient sanctuaries in Greece. The site of Delos is explored on foot. So, where comfortable shoes and don't forget your sunblock!

  • The tour will begin as soon as you are picked up from your ship and taken to the small port, from where the boats to Delos depart. After a 30-minute boat trip, you will reach the island of Delos.
  • In 1990, UNESCO inscribed Delos on the World Heritage List, citing it as the "exceptionally extensive and rich" archaeological site which "conveys the image of a great cosmopolitan Mediterranean port".
  • Feel like an ancient pilgrim as you visit, among others, the remains of the Temples of Apollo, the sanctuary of his twin sister Artemis.
  • Explore the old city and the theatre and then, walk down the sacred 164-foot-long Avenue of the Lions. This is one of the most imposing spots on Delos. The five Naxian marble beasts crouch on their haunches, their forelegs stiffly upright, vigilant guardians of the Sacred Lake where the mother of Apollo, Leto, gave birth to him and his sister. These are replicas; the originals are in the museum.
  • Then walk to the museum of Delos, where you can admire the Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman sculptures, a collection of vessels from all periods as well as small items of everyday use.
  • At the end of the tour you will return by boat back to the island of Mykonos. There you will enjoy some free time to explore sights of Mykonos like the numerous windmills, Little Venice and the old port.
  • At the end of the tour you will have free time to dine, shop or walk around Mykonos Chora on your own.
