The contract between the parties is based on the terms outlined herein. Because our Terms & Conditions contain legal obligations, we encourage you to read them carefully.
Prices are based on known costs in February 2016 and are subject to change. Prices listed on The Travel Insiders site are per person unless otherwise specified. Once you have booked and you have also prepaid for a service, the price will not change.
Prices do not include:
Gratuities to tour leader, tour guide, driver, personal purchases, entrance fees to museums, archaeological sites and wineries, lunches and drinks, and VAT (unless stated). Gratuities are at your discretion and are appreciated if received.
Special offers and discounts:
Special offers are not eligible for any additional discount. Our 10% discount offer for joining two or more joined tours does not apply to our Special Offers.
The Travel Insiders accept VISA and MASTERCARD and there is no extra fee for processing credit card payments. There is an extra fee of 3% only if payment is made by AMERICAN EXPRESS credit cards. A deposit by credit card, PayPal or to a bank account is required to complete a reservation unless other agreement has been made. Payment will be listed as The Travel Insiders on the credit card statement. No refunds are available once a tour or service has commenced, or in respect of any package, accommodation, meals or any other services utilized. Payment in cash may be made at the end of the tour, however, a deposit will be required in order to confirm your reservation.
Drivers work under strict legal and time restrictions. Therefore, you will be dropped off at convenient stops, depending on the traffic conditions. Our drivers will do their best to let you off at your destination or as near as possible unless stated otherwise. Your tour leader will be happy to assist and advise you.
Our guides are fully licensed by the Ministry of Tourism. Tours are conducted in English unless there is a previous arrangement to lecture in another language. Bilingual tours are also available upon request.
Except otherwise stated, tours, packages or any service canceled without due notice within three (3) days prior to your service confirmed date, there will be no refund.
Any cancellation made within seven (7) – four (4) days prior to your service confirmed date, there will be a 25% charge for services.
In the case of cancelation more than seven (7) days prior to your service confirmed date, there will be a 50% charge for services
For cancellations more than twenty (20) days prior to the tour, there will be a full refund (no charge).
For any cancelations due to bad weather conditions leading to a change in the cruise ship itinerary, there will be a full refund (no charge).
In all of the above cases, bank expenses or administration fees that might occur for the refund will be deducted from the amount.
Cancellations can only be made by confirmed email communication.
The Travel Insiders does not charge a fee to amend or change the dates of an existing booking, as long as the request is received by our team more than thirty (30) days prior to your service confirmed date.
The Travel Insiders reserves the right to realize any amendments on services, tours, programs, dates and times or even terminate a specific program during the season. In this case, written notification will be sent well in advance. For any cancellations made on reserved tours and/or times, a relevant alternative may be suggested as a replacement. If the replacement is not in any way satisfactory, a full refund will be granted.
Whilst every effort is made to return lost property, The Travel Insiders cannot be held responsible for property left on vehicles. Property found must be collected from our office or through contact for any other arrangements.
Personal insurance is not included. Insurance coverage is mandatory in Greece only during bus transfers. Vehicles provided by The Travel Insiders are fully insured. For the rest of the tour, participants are strongly advised to obtain their own insurance.
We may, at our discretion, require any person to withdraw from any tour if we deem their acts or conduct offensive or a nuisance to other passengers, and we shall have no further liability. We reserve the right to use vehicles as dictated by demand. We also reserve the right to alter at any time any price, place visited, itinerary or hotel owing to unforeseen circumstances. Every effort will be made to advise passengers in advance of any alterations which are deemed necessary. In the event of any passenger not being carried for any cause whatsoever, no liability will be accepted by the operators beyond the refund of the fares.
You will receive a personalized voucher from The Travel Insiders for each tour, transfer, event or service booked. Please print all pages of your voucher and present it to The Travel Insiders representative at tour starting point.
Passports & visas:
A Passport valid for all countries to be visited must be carried and it is your responsibility to ascertain what (and if) any kind of visa is required from the local Embassy of Greece.
Accident or Loss:
We have no liability for loss, damage, injury, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however, caused, unless due to our employees’ negligence, in which case our liability is limited to a maximum of the refund of the tour cost. We do not own or manage the ships, accommodation, and restaurants used and we have no liability for loss or damage caused by the proprietors or operators thereof. Baggage is at owner’s risk throughout the tours.
Third Party Products:
Tickets bought through third party suppliers may carry a different set of terms of conditions for which we are not responsible.
Each tour operates to sufficient demand. The Travel Insiders reserves the right to cancel scheduled tours due to limited participation or other reasons beyond our control two (2) weeks before the date of the tour. In such case, no compensation will be paid or requested from The Travel Insiders. In the event of “Places of Interest” being closed or road conditions en-route prevent the tour as advertised being operated, every endeavor will be made to substitute an alternative, but the company reserves the right to cancel or alter arrangements.
Once the group reaches the minimum number of participants (8 participants) you will receive an email notification two (2) weeks prior to tour confirming that the itinerary of your choice will be conducted as planned.
If there is not enough participation (minimum 8 participants), you will be notified via email, in which case you can alternatively book a private tour at a special price, or if you prefer, you will be fully refunded.
Except otherwise stated, tours, packages or any service canceled without due notice (within three (3) days prior to your service confirmed date), there will be no refund.
Any cancellation made within seven (7) – four (4) days prior to your service confirmed date, there will be a 25% charge for services (suppliers’ charge).
No refunds will be made to any customers who fail to show up for a tour departure at the designated time and place, who quit the tour or do not use all the services provided.
No servant or agent of ours can vary our conditions and any such purposed variation shall be of no effect unless it has been signed by one of our directors. All matters concerning this booking shall be subject to Greek Law.
Information such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or any other information will not be shared, sold or distributed in any way.
